Day 10 – Travel from Germany to Belgium

We had a very long travel day of about 6 hours to reach our final destination in Belgium. We reached our AirBnb early evening and it was lovely. It was in a forest and had a pond with a bridge in the garden which Tom & Izzy really liked!

It was also only a 5 minute walk to the River Semois so after tea we wandered down the played in the water.

Day 11 – Kayaking

I found a kayaking company – Kayaks of Recrealle – and thought as the weather was hot it would be fun to kayak down the river. We selected the short route which was 6km and took us from Recrealle to Vresse. Tom & Izzy both spent more time in the water than in the kayak!

We returned home and ended up back in the river for the rest of the afternoon!

Day 12 – Kayaking

For our last day both Tom & Izzy wanted to go Kayaking again. We were a bit braver and decided we could do the longer route of 12 km which started at Poupehan and finished at Alle. Again more time was spent in the river. We really enjoyed Belgium – it was so peaceful and the perfect end to our road trip through Europe.
