It was our final full day in Spain and Stu had some work he needed to do so Tom, Izzy and I decided to walk into the old town for the morning. It was only a 25 minute walk from our apartment along a wooden boardwalk.

Marbella old town is full of little alley ways to explore and all the buildings are painted beautifully with lots of flowers growing on them. As we were there really early there were hardly any other people so we were able to take our time wandering around and take some lovely photos.

Exploring Marbella
We came across the old church – Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación which was built in the 17th century and we were able to go inside and look at its interior.

By this time it was getting close to lunchtime and Stu was able to join us. We made our way to Plaza de los Naranjos where there were quite a few restaurants and found an outside table under an orange tree. Stu & I shared a plate of bread, ham and cheese together with a selection of tapas. Tom ordered steak & chips whilst Izzy chose pasta.

We then took Stu for a walk around the alleyways we’d discovered earlier in the morning but by this stage the town was absolutely packed with people and lots of tour groups. We therefore decided to head back to our apartment and chill for the afternoon as we were heading home the following day.
