Hiroshima, Japan – The Peace Memorial Museum

It was our final day in Hiroshima so we left our hotel (Hilton Hiroshima) quite early and walked 20 minutes to the Peace Memorial Museum. When we arrived, despite it only being 10am it was ridiculously hot so we enjoyed standing under a fountain and getting caught in the water spray!

Enjoying the water fountain!

We explored the museum – it was a really good museum – very informative about the war and what had happened in Hiroshima. We then had a final wander around the Peace Park.

We did a little bit of shopping before heading back to spend the afternoon in the hotel pool. We ended up at Don Quijote where Izzy found herself the perfect blazer for when she retuned to school. Tom was quite excited by the ‘bug’ snacks although we did not buy them!

The next day was going to be busy as we were travelling to Kyoto.
