Having spent a year learning the words to all of Taylor Swift’s songs the time had come for Izzy and I to go to London for the Eras Tour. We decided to make a weekend of it so booked to stay in London for two nights – mainly because we did not want to risk a train delay and missing the tour!
We took the train from Stonehouse, Stroud to Piccadilly (which was full of Swifties) and made our way across London to our hotel Park Plaza County Hall near Paddington. I chose the hotel as it was next to a tube line which had direct trains to Wembley arena.

Taylor Swift Exhibition – Victoria and Albert Museum
We picked up a quick lunch at M&S and decided to venture to the V&A as they were exhibiting some of Taylor Swifts outfits from her music videos and previous tours. It was very busy and we had to queue to see each outfit but it was a good way to spend a couple of hours – especially when we are massive Taylor Swift fans!
They also had a merchandise store for the tour so we queued to try and kit Izzy out – unfortunately they did not stock the tee-shirts and hoodies she wanted so we decided to wait until Wembley to buy them.

Mamma Mia! the Party
We headed back to the hotel to get ready for the evening. We were meeting friends but I hadn’t told Izzy we were off to Mamma Mia – I just told her she had to wear blue and white. By the time we arrived at the O2 she guessed what we were doing.

Waiting to go inside.
I hadn’t really done any research about it so was unsure what to expect but as you entered it was set up like an outdoor Greek restaurant.

Inside the venue
We had a great table – it was on the floor next to where the singers performed so we had great views of the show. We loved the show and at the end a band came out which was really good fun. The food was also excellent – a selection of starters, lamb for the main meal and a sharing platter of desserts.

The party at the end!
We headed back to our hotel as tomorrow was a massive day!!!
