We had stayed the previous night at a Premier Inn as we were on a 7.30am flight to Rhodes out of Gatwick Airport. By the time we had a short delay, then took the 4 hour flight, picked up our hire car, found our villa, popped to the the local supermarket and returned to cook tea and relax it was going on for 7pm Greece time! It always takes longer than you think to travel in Europe!

Our villa was beautiful, it was just outside a town called Afantou and on a little complex with three other properties. We booked it through AirBnb and it had 4 bedrooms and a lovely pool area.

As we were preparing tea we spotted a couple of peacocks in the garden – we were not sure where they came from so decided one of the properties must own them! As it had been a long travel day we spent the rest of the evening chilling in the pool! We also planned our itinerary for the week and decided to visit Lindos the next day which was just 30 minutes down the road.
