Rhodes, Greece – Prasonisi Beach

It was our final full day in Rhodes so we opted to spend the day at the beach. We didn’t want to return to St Paul’s Bay or Tsambika Beach and Prasonisi Beach kept appearing on searches for best beaches in Rhodes so that is where we chose. Also, Prasonisi Beach is on the Southern most tip of Rhodes and we had not spent much time travelling south.

When we arrived it was very quiet but it was only 9.30am and we parked in the main carpark which was actually on the beach! We selected ourselves a group of four sun loungers front row by the water and went for a paddle in the sea.

Arriving at Prasonisi Beach

What we realised quite quickly was that it was a very windy beach – probably because it was on the southern tip of Rhodes. Also it did not have the beautiful backdrop of the other beaches we had visited. However – it was still a gorgeously sandy beach with crystal clear water!

We spent a few hours on the beach before deciding to pack up for the day. There was a little island you could walk to with a lighthouse but we had been out in the sun for too long so didn’t really have the energy. We did walk over to the beach on the other side where it was full of people flying kites.

We enjoyed our final evening at the villa before returning to the UK the following morning. We enjoyed Rhodes although I think I preferred Crete.
