New Jersey, USA – Paterson Great Falls National Historic Park

We were after a quick day trip and had seen Paterson Great Falls advertised online as one of the best waterfalls in New Jersey so decided to pay it a visit.

We did not know anything about Paterson but as we drove through we could see it was quite an old industrial town and some of the buildings were beautiful. We arrived at the carpark which was quite small and due to covid every other space had been blocked off but luckily we found a space.

It was a short walk down some steps where we had a lovely view of the falls and the water wheel.

We noticed that there was a bridge over the falls so we headed to the main road to find the entrance. From the bridge you could watch the water fall into the gorge below.

Unfortunately the museum was closed but it was a nice place to visit for 30 minutes or so.
