The whole reason we bought our tent was to camp at Three Cliffs Bay. We had visited the beach on a sunny day – and thought how lovely it would be to camp overnight! So, the first opportunity we had – we booked a Saturday night at the campsite. As campsites go it has the most beautiful setting – on the cliff over looking the bay. Unfortunately, as we booked last minute the sea view pitches were all taken. Our spot was in the main field – but it really didn’t matter.

On arrival we put our tent up and got organized. As we were only staying for one night we headed straight down the path to the beach for the afternoon.

Tom and Izzy spent ages building sand forts and were paddling in the sea as it was really warm. Three Cliffs Bay is a stunning beach. There is lots of sand and due to the cliffs you can take some really lovely pictures.

Beach time at Three Cliffs Bay
After a couple of hours we headed back up the hill to our tent, stopping for an ice-cream on route! It isn’t the longest walk but is quite steep which is tiring after playing on the beach for an afternoon! We then set up the BBQ for tea!

The next morning it was miserable and raining. We cooked a quick breakfast – only because we had bought the food with us – packed up and left! We really liked the campsite, it isn’t the cheapest but you can’t beat the location!
