We had planned a day trip to Amsterdam which was 1.5 hours away from where we were staying. I had booked early morning tickets to the Anne Frank Museum so we needed to be in Amsterdam by 9am. We completely under estimated how much traffic would be on the roads so we knew half way into our journey we would probably miss our slot.
Then, when we arrived in the city it was very hard to get anywhere quickly due to the amount of pedal bikes. In the end Stu said he would park the car and Tom, Izzy and I should go to the museum. We enjoyed the museum and when we had finished we met Stu and had a wander around the canals.

We found a little coffee shop for a snack (one which didn’t sell cannabis cake!) then headed to the Rijksmuseum museum. Unfortunately we hadn’t pre-booked tickets and the queue was absolutely huge so we decided that we weren’t going to wait hours to get in!
We visited the I Love Amsterdam sign and took our pictures with our corresponding letters.

We then wandered around the shops (selling absinth) and flower markets. We enjoyed Amsterdam but in hindsight should have planned our day better.
