We knew lots of cruise ships visited Bruges, so thought it must be a lovely city to visit. It was our last big travel day and we drove for over 2 hours from Middelbeers and arrived before lunch. Unfortunately, we hadn’t learnt any lessons from our unplanned day in Amsterdam and didn’t have an itinerary!
We wandered around the town square which was beautiful and the buildings had stunning architecture.

We then found the river and watched lots of tourist boats doing little river tours.

We treated Tom to a Belgian waffle with chocolate sauce and then browsed the chocolate and sweet shops. We even found a Christmas decoration shop.

An afternoon of shopping!
It was a lovely day but we need to stop visiting cities with no plan! Our final day of the holiday was spent doing a canal walk near where we were staying. Unfortunately I tripped over and we spent our last evening sitting in an A&E in Eidenhoven – luckily my arm wasn’t broken!
