After 2 nights at the Grand Canyon we headed to Page where we stayed 2 nights at the Hampton Inn.
Day 10 – Antelope Canyon
It is only possible to visit Antelope Canyon on a tour and as we had booked Page very last minute due to the forest fires at Yosemite – unfortunately we were unable to book a tour for four people. Luckily there were two spaces left on the 6am tour and two spaces left on the 3pm tour which we booked before leaving the UK. Stu & Tom took the early morning tour leaving Izzy and me to have a lie in!
They were driven in jeeps across the desert where they entered the slot canyons.

A selection of Stuart’s photos of the tour
Their tour was over by 8am and they returned to the hotel and then we all set off to do part of the Page Rim View Trail. It was very hot so we didn’t hike for long and drove to the town and bought frozen yoghurts for lunch!

My tour started at 3pm so Stu drove us to the starting point – our tour was slightly different to Stu’s – we didn’t drive in jeeps to the opening of the canyons but climbed down into them instead.

Inside the slot canyons
Izzy and I had some very chatty people on our tour who kept the tour guide really busy – this was great as we were able to stay slightly back from the group and take some amazing pictures with no-one else in them!

Antelope Canyon
When we climbed out from the canyon you could look down on them! We really enjoyed visiting the slot canyons.

We drove back to our hotel, went to Denny’s for tea and had an early night as the next morning we were setting off for Zion.
