After a day on the coast at Point Reynes National Seashore we decided to venture into San Francisco for the day. We parked up by Pier 39 and headed straight to see the sealions. When we visited San Francisco a few years earlier the sealions were one of my highlights of the trip.

Sealions chilling in the marina!
It was already approaching lunch time and we didn’t know how busy the restaurants would be so we made our way to Bubba Gumps – we had eaten at this restaurant previously. It was quite quiet and we were given a window table overlooking the water.
I ordered the coconut shrimp (which were amazing), Tom chose the baby back ribs, Izzy selected chicken pasta whilst Stu went for a massive seafood platter of fish & chips, shrimp, hushpuppies, coleslaw and lots of sauces!

Our amazing food at Bubba Gump’s

We explored the shops on the pier for a bit and Tom & Izzy ordered crepes for dessert before we headed off.

We saw on google maps that there was a wave organ on our way home so we decided to stop off and pay it a visit. It was a nice walk along the waterfront and we watched a group of kids learning to sail in the bay.

We then headed home via the Golden Gate Bridge North Vista Point for some views of the bridge!
