Timanfaya National Park, Lanzarote
A morning visit to Timanfaya National Park and a quick detour on the way home to Playa de Famara.
Lanzarote – Road Trip around the North of the Island
Our road trip around the north of Lanzarote visiting the cactus garden, Jameos del Agua and Mirador del Rio.
Lanzarote – Arrival and exploring Puerto del Carmen.
Our first day in Lanzarote. After checking in to our AirBnb the previous evening we had a very quiet day exploring Puerto del Carmen and enjoying some pool time.
Iceland – Kerid Crater, the Secret Lagoon and the Tomato Restaurant.
Our final day in Iceland. We began by exploring the Kerid Crater and then made reservations for the Secret Lagoon and Friðheimar Restaurant.
Vik, Iceland – Glacier and Katla Ice-cave tour.
Day 5 in Iceland. We returned to Vik (stopping off at Skogafoss again on route) for a glacier and ice cave tour.
Reykjavik, Iceland – Valentines Day morning at the Sky Lagoon
Day 4 in Iceland. We drove to Reykjavik to visit the Sky Lagoon and then headed into the city for lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe.
Golden Circle, Iceland – Gullfoss, Geyser and Thingvellir on a snowy February day
Day 3 in Iceland and we drove the Golden circle visiting Gullfoss, Strokkur and Thingvellir. When we returned home to Hella we were lucky to witness the Northern Lights
Southcoast, Iceland – A day of waterfalls and beaches!
Our second day in Iceland where we visited Skogafoss, Seljalandsfoss and the beaches near Vik. The morning began very grey and cloudy but the sun made an appearance for the afternoon.
Keflavik, Iceland – Visiting Garður Lighthouse & travelling to Hella.
Day 1 of our week in Iceland. We arrived in the morning so after picking up our hire car we visited Garður Old Lighthouse before driving to our cabin in Hella for the next six days.
