We couldn’t have breakfast at the hotel as we needed to be at Kuala Lumpur airport for 6.30am. As usual we were late and didn’t have time to fill the car up with fuel so had to risk returning it with a half empty tank! At the airport there was a massive queue at bag drop and despite being in the express lane we genuinely thought we were going to miss our flight – luckily we just made it!

It was another short flight of about an hour but as we approached Singapore it was really cool as you could see all the tankers lined up in the sea next to the port!

We arrived at a different terminal than we did with our flight from the UK so we had to take a bus to the Jewel and we arrived to a massive rainstorm and spent ages watching the water pour off the buildings!

We had a quick Shake Shack for lunch, picked up our hire car (we only needed it for 24 hours as we were flying back to the UK in the morning) and headed to our hotel – the Shangri-La Rasa on Sentosa Island.

The drive up to the hotel was stunning and as Stu tried to check-in we admired the pool area – although it was very busy! Anyway, they could not find our booking and we then realised we had driven to the wrong Shangri-La as we had booked the hotel next to the Orchard Road – not the hotel on Sentosa Island! We were very grateful we had actually rented a hire car as it meant we could just quickly drive to the correct hotel!

The new hotel was absolutely stunning! In the reception area there was an amazing Easter display and in our rooms we were given a fruit basket and some beautiful chocolates.

We spent the afternoon in the pool, had a wander along the Orchard Road and used our room credits (from our Amex card) to have room service for tea.

We then explored the hotel grounds for the evening as they were beautiful before having an early night as we had another early morning flight back home!
